Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services responded to a house fire Saturday night on Hearst Street off of Trelawne Ave.

SaultOnline.com viewer, Joe Reed tells he noticed the fire about 11pm  when he heard the sirens from his neighbouring home.  Reed snapped the photos used in this article.

Fire fighters managed to get the blaze under control within a few minutes that was contained to the second floor of the home.  No other details are available at this time.

    it’s different than the others. Upstairs tenant was facing eviction and tried saying that a jealous ex did it in an attempt to hurt the downstairs tenant

Fire at my apartment building Wellington street east started between 11:30pm -1:45am … fire was purposefully started on the second floor hallway and was taken out as soon as tenants heard the alarms go off…. I’m on heavy medication for sleeping at night so I slept through it all… I woke up with black smoke all over my belongings in my apartment as well as coughing and sneezing black smoke 💨😢…. this is so scary 😢😢😢😢😢 ugh 😑
