Tampon Tuesday

Periods are a fact of life. For women living in poverty, there is an added challenge of acquiring monthly feminine hygiene products. When women are experiencing homelessness, it is an even bigger challenge.

On Tuesday, March 5th, 2019, United Way Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District will be hosting our second annual Tampon Tuesday event. In partnership with the Local Labour Council, community members will be invited to come together for a night of socializing, networking and support for women. The cost of admission will be one unopened package of feminine hygiene products that will be donated throughout the Community to local hubs, shelters and/or drop in centres.

If you are unable to make the event, we have drop off boxes placed at the following locations until March 5, 2019 with the United Way office continuing to accept donations for the entire month of March.
