The Sault is Better at Talking About Mental Health, Spina Says

Sault Ste. Marie Police Constable Sonny Spina came into the ONNtv studios earlier this week to talk to Lou-Anne Young about mental health issues in the community and the role of the police when dealing with it on the ground, as well as mental health of first responders themselves.

Watch the full interview above.

  1. I see great positives with constable Spina talking about the human side of policing in Sault Ste. Marie. My memory is the Soo police service was a bunch of thugs that victimized young people. I hope things have changed in my hometown.

  2. From what I’m hearing from everyone the biggest thing about mental health is the lets talk about it campaign but nothing is actually being done about actually helping people and their families. ENOUGH TALK !TIME TO GET THE PROGRAMS STAFFED AND WORKING , MORE FUNDING ,
