What is left of the former Northern Breweries building is no more. A wall collapsed Wednesday morning on the vacant building best known for its smoke stack.
The back portion of the building, including the stack was saved with hopes of re-purposing the historic building however that plan never came to fruition.
Heavy snow, ice and now rain may have caused the wall to collapse. The building is over 100 years old .
Sault Fire Services is on scene with fears that the roof will begin to collapse on the rest of the building.
