Market Mall IDA Pharmacy manager Joe Greco reached out to SaultOnline/ONNtv to help pass along information for their prescription customers.

On Monday Morning, Joe Greco sent us an update to the situation , “We are currently waiting for an inspection of the roof of the Market Mall. We are not sure how long this will take and if we will be open this morning or open at all today. If customers are trying to call or access the property and are unable to to do either, please forward all your prescription needs to the Station Mall IDA Drug Mart.” Greco said, “This includes all refills and new prescriptions. We will have staff from the Market Mall location at the Station Mall Location to serve those customers. Station Mall IDA Drug Mart hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 9:00 pm Saturday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Please call 705-949-7331. Remember we also have free delivery. We ask that if your are requesting a delivery to have that called in before 4:00pm to ensure delivery. We thank our customers for their patience, loyalty and understanding in this difficult time. We are working hard to get back to our regular operations.”

As reported late Saturday, the Market Mall was evacuated and closed due to concern over the snow loading on the roof of the structure. Metro remains open at this time.

  1. Maybe the city’s inspector should be doing a thorough assessment on the structure before allowing it to reopen to the public.

  2. Another scum land lord – take the money but no maintenance – typical for the Soo.
Sad but true when its out of town property owners. Becoming very common

  3. I don’t understand why the snow was allowed to build up on there for so long, waiting till it becomes a safety matter before something is done, abviously owners can’t be from the Sooo

    • Cathy Nash Chaput from what u heard and I could be wrong: the owners are not from the soo, the maintenance guy doesnโ€™t do his job obviously, and it took 3 years for the owners to agree with mall tenants to fix the parking lot and they would only fix one side . So that tells you what kind of owners and maintenance they have .

    • Annette Bouchard yes it’s pretty said when not wanting to spend the money to fix up something properly before a situation develops is pretty sad, when someone could get hurt or killed even

    • I can say one thing, when I worked at Hart, we had issues with water leaking from the roof often…took forever to get anything done ๐Ÿ˜‘ It was a constant battle…by the looks of it, nothing has changed

    • Cathy Nash Chaput yup, it was bad then. Several areas of the store we had buckets until they were able to “patch” the roof. I could just imagine what it’s like now ๐Ÿ™ Not to mention mold in the ceiling from the constant leaking over the years…that can’t be good ๐Ÿ˜‘

    • Chantal Thibeault patching is just a bandaid, yes the mold is a huge issue for bacteria, disgusting forsure,
Last place I worked at I can still tell you every place a bucket will be put when the roof starts to thaw, another place patchwork on the roof was done, even flooded afew times but somehow seems to still stay open, I guess when you have the money & lawyers says it all
