Body found near Cobalt, Ont., identified as Haileybury, Ont. man

COBALT, Ont. — Provincial police say a body that was discovered on Monday afternoon just southeast of the town of Cobalt, Ont., has now been identified.

Investigators with the Temiskaming OPP crime unit say the remains are those of 21-year-old Nicholas Rivard of Haileybury, Ont.

A post mortem was conducted Thursday by the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service in Ottawa.

Police have not yet released a cause of death.
