Yup, we are just a hair inside of three weeks before one of Canada’s best EVER hard rock bands hit the stage to give the Soo a Blast of Metal And Rock. As, I’ve said in the past, the multi-million album selling band the Killer Dwarfs have been literally rehearsing for 20 years for this show …haha.

Well, actually, it’s been about twenty years since they set foot up here in the Great White North, but we sent them some Sorels’ and five Canada Goose jackets to keep them warm. Five ?….well, we can’t leave Rob Z, the bands’ manager out, can we? Nah!

Anyway, it’s full throttle ahead and we are lucky we got them when we did ; I have been following their schedule lately and they have been very busy flying across the country to do shows with Helix and Kick Axe recently, and they are flying out to the East coast next week for a show or two. If you were on the fence about whether or not these guys are in demand….that should answer your question.

The boys will be engaging here on Saturday, April 27 at BlaSter (Soo Blaster) after a soundcheck the night before in Windsor at the Rockstar Music Hall.

It is going to be an exciting night for many many reasons ; one lucky concert goer will win a Samsung Tablet just for the hell of it and showing up to the show he/she were already going to anyway, and it has just been confirmed that all fans will have a chance to win a mysterious piece of stage prop the Dwarfs will autograph for the winner.

The details regarding a raffle or silent auction are still up in the air, but at the end of the day, someone will be riding home (did I give it away?) with this mysterious piece of Killer Dwarfs autographed machinery.

Some of you probably know what the prop is but if you don’t…..well it has 3 wheels…..and has been a staple of the band during their long successful career. On a similar note, Russ won’t be doing headstands; his Doctor has advised against it lol. I know the feeling, I’ve had a couple of neck surgeries and well…..yeah.

I have heard from many people in town that can’t wait for this show to finally happen and I have to admit, this date has been circled on my calendar for about the last 4 months.

There is really no need to delve too deeply about these guys again, as most of you know of their vast catalogue of hits songs like Dirty Weapons, Keep the Spirit Alive, Driftin Back etc. Having said that, I am sure most heavy rock fans also know of the Dwarfs killer reputation for putting on an energetic live show with many laughs via frontman Russ Dwarf.

Just to give those on the fence a bit of a push, these dudes are so Killer that Megadeth’s bassman David Ellefson felt by signing these guys to his EMP Label that it would help his bottom line; hey when a dude from Megadeth is a big fan…………well that says it all.

So, I urge you to go get your tickets while they last and not be left out in the cold wearing your Cougar boots and jean jackets.

Sunday, April 28th, the Soo will be buzzing about the previous nights’ show and you don’t want to be one of those people that are kicking themselves because you chose to watch Judge Judy reruns do you? I didn’t think so.

**Last but not least, Re:Born did a dress rehearsal last Friday night and it was a smash because they rocked the house, and they will warm you up before Russ, Darrell, Johnny, and Gerry hit the stage and kick some SSM ass.!**
