Female Arrested for Possession of Stolen Property
On April 7th, 2019 officers with the Patrol Services division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 18 year old Rune Laudadio of Blue Jay Court for possession of stolen property.
It’s alleged on January 7th, 2019 the accused attempted to cash a cheque for approximately $438 at a local business. Staff determined the cheque didn’t belong to her, refused to cash the cheque and police were called.
The accused turned herself into police on April 7th, 2019 and was charged with one count of possession of stolen property, one count of obtaining credit by false pretence and one count of breach of probation. She is scheduled to appear in court on May 13th, 2019.
Female Charged with Theft
On April 6th, 2019 officers with the Patrol Services division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 23 year old Jodie Neveau of Hynes Street for theft.
It’s alleged on April 6th, 2019 the accused attended a business in the 200 block of Bay Street and was observed placing items into a bag. She then left the store without attempting to pay for the items. She was detained by store security and held for police.
Police arrived, took her into custody and searched the accused. She was found to be in possession of approximately $110 worth of merchandise, as well as blue powder believed to be fentanyl.
She is charged with one count of theft under $5,000, one count of possession of a controlled substance, one count of resisting arrest and one count of breach of probation. She is scheduled to appear in court on May 13th, 2019.
