Pair Charged with Break and Enter

On April 24th, 2019 officers with the Break and Enter unit of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 43 year old John ‘David’ Jamieson of no fixed address and 48 year old Christine Robb of East Street for break and enter.

It’s alleged on April 16th, 2019 Ms. Robb called 911 making a false report to police. Following that call the two accused entered a business in the 100 block of Tancred Street by ripping off the door to the business using a vehicle and chain resulting in approximately $5,600 in damage. Once inside Mr. Jamieson smashed two display cases and stole approximately $430 in merchandise.

The male accused was located a short time later but fled at a high rate of speed then exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Police searched the abandoned vehicle and found varying amounts of what is believed to be cocaine and fentanyl, break in tools and stolen items from the break and enter.

Mischief over $5,000

Disguise with Intent

Fleeing an officer

Dangerous Driving

Possession of Stolen Property

Possession of a Controlled Substance x2

Suspended Driving x2

He was held for bail court.

 

Christine Robb is charged with;

Break and Enter

Mischief over $5,000

Possession of Break in Tools

Disguise with Intent

Public Mischief

Ms. Robb is scheduled to appear in court on May 27th, 2019. Mr. Jamieson was held for bail court.
