Male Charged with Possession of Stolen Property

On April 1st, 2019 officers with the Patrol Service division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 45 year old Isreal Neveau of Second Line West for possession of stolen property.

It’s alleged on March 20th, 2019 the accused took items from a parked vehicle in the 100 block of Bay Street. It’s further alleged he attempted to sell the items at a local pawn shop and left before police arrived.

He was located on April 1st, 2019 and charged with one count of possession of stolen property, one count of breach of probation and one count of breach of recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 13th, 2019.

Male Arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance

On April 1st, 2019 officers with the Patrol Services division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 36 year old Shawn Reedy of Andrew Street for possession of a controlled substance.

During the morning of April 1st, 2019 officers observed the accused in the central part of the city and took him into custody on an outstanding warrant. Upon searching the accused he was found to be in possession of varying amounts of Fentanyl powder, crystal methamphetamine as well as methylphenidate and Percocet pills.

He is charged with nine counts of possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of fail to comply with a probation order. He was held for bail court.

Male Charged with Assault

On April 1st, 2019 officers with the Patrol Services division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 37 year old Justin St. Amour of Albert Street West for assault.

It’s alleged the accused attended a residence in the West end of the city and while an employee was repairing something inside, he stole a key from the door. When asked about the key by the employee it’s alleged the accused struck him in the face.

Police were called and later found the accused and took him into custody. He is charged with one count of assault and one count of theft under $5,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 6th, 2019.
