Vancouver-based puppeteer Jeny Cassady came into the ONNtv studios Friday afternoon to talk about Somebody Loves You Mr. Hatch, a puppet play – presented by Over the Rainbow Children’s Entertainment – for people of all ages that showcases the effect that kindness can have on a dreary existence.
“Mr. Hatch leads a colourless, ordered life, until one Valentine’s Day, he receives a candy-filled heart with the note ‘somebody loves you.’ Mr. Hatch’s world is turned upside down and he begins to make friends and enjoy all the fun parts of life that he once ignored,” says a review on the play’s website.
Tickets cost $18 for adults and $15 for children 1-14 years of age, and can be purchased at the Sault Community Theatre Box Office in the Station Mall, by calling 705-945-7299, online at www.saultctc.ca, or at the theatre 30 mins before the performance begins.
