The Canadian Red Cross is an international not for profit agency, dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable people by mobilizing the power of humanity in Canada and around the world. Make a difference by responding to disasters in your community. The Canadian Red Cross is seeking volunteers to join our team in Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma District.
The Red Cross provides assistance following emergencies like house fires and floods. We help to ensure that individuals and families have a warm, safe place to stay, clothing, food and other basic necessities.
We could not do the amazing and hard work we do with out our volunteers. With that being said our volunteer pool has gotten quite low here in the Algoma district, and we are looking to recruit as much as we can. Coming on board as a Red Cross volunteer takes a lot of heart, passion and dedication to the cause.
On June 11th we would like to host a Volunteer information session inviting people to drop in, meet the volunteers and learn about all the work the Red Cross does for Emergency Management.
Location: Montana’s @ 89 Foster Drive, Sault Ste. Marie
Date: June 11th, 2019
Time: 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
Volunteers are provided with all the training required for responding to emergencies and educating Canadians about disaster preparedness.
