Both drivers killed in head-on collision on Highway 17 in Sudbury, Ont.

SUDBURY, Ont. — Provincial police say two people are dead after a head-on collision in Sudbury, Ont., Friday night.

It happened on Highway 17 in the city’s south side, and police say both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no passengers in either vehicle, and police aren’t identifying the victims because their next of kin have not been notified.

They say a stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway was closed for several hours while police investigated, but it has since reopened.
