Collision Leads To Drug Charges

On Saturday the 29th of June 2019,  City Police attended a motor vehicle collision at Great Northern Road and Fifth Line. Investigation into the collision led to a drug investigation that resulted in the seizure of 2 pounds of marihuana and a quantity of cash.

As a result 33 year old Laurence Foreman of Queen Street East has been charged with

– Possession of cannabis for the purpose of distributing it contrary to section 9(2) of the Cannabis Act

– Drive motor vehicle with cannabis readily available contrary to section 12(1) of the Cannabis Control Act.

– Care and control of a motor vehicle with cannabis readily available contrary to section 12(1) of the Cannabis Control Act.

 

The accused will appear in court on August 12th.

  1. Pots legal people..big deal….hope the young guys alright…the police have to charge cuts I m pretty sure that’s a lot….FYI everyone** pots not killing people…go fry the fentanyl dealers and opioid dealers…that’s the illegal bad stuff…

    • It is legal in small amounts if it’s not readily available to the driver of a vehicle. Trafficking in pot is just as illegal as it ever was.
