SPICER, Margaret (Daynard, nee Quilty)


Passed away peacefully at Maple View Extendicare with her family by her side on Thursday, June 13, 2019 in her 100th year.

Dear mother to the late Stanley Daynard (Janice), Pauline McKerlie (Kevin and late Robert), late Maxine Steeves, Harold Daynard (Ruth and late Joanne Daynard), late Albert Daynard (Ruth), and late Marilyn Gordon. beloved grandmother to many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister Joy Thomas, predeceased by her sisters and brothers Esther Aikman, Lorna Bell, George Quilty, Michael Quilty, Viva McLean, Joan Spicer and Lillian Mackey.

Well known for her singing and country music, the Northern Kitty Wells favorite song was No Body’s Child which she sang frequently. Friends are invited to visit at the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton and Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522) on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Funeral Service to take place in the chapel at 3:00 pm.

Mr. Gene Monin officiating. Cremation with Inurnment to take place at Mountain Maple Grove Cemetery at a later time. Memorial contributions to Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
