And The Winner Is… The 98th Rotary Community Day Parade is this Saturday!

The 98th Rotary Community Day Parade presented by Brookfield is tomorrow, and local businesses, groups, and teams are ready to drive, walk, and ride down Queen Street East under the theme “Celebrating The Academy Awards, 1929-2019”.

The parade will start at 11 a.m. sharp from the corner of Queen and Pim and will proceed west to Gore.

The Sensory Friendly Block will be returning between Bruce Street and Dennis Street. All drivers are informed no honking, sirens, or air horns are allowed during this part of the parade, so that children and adults with auditory sensitivities can enjoy the parade with their friends a family.

David K. Marshall, the Parade Marshal, is looking forward to “a bright sunny day, where kids of all ages can enjoy the parade.” Marshal Marshall shared that “our parade committee has often commented how nice it is to see all the smiling faces in the crowd.” Marshal Marshall marshalled his first parade in 1988. “March, all!” Marshal Marshall marshalled.
