Gallery/Video: Paddlers Celebrate Canada Day

Paddlers gathered at the Locks on Monday morning for Parks Canada’s third annual Parade of Paddles.

This event started three years ago during Canada 150 and took off from there, with over 100 paddlers in attendance this year.

ONNtv was there to check it out and spoke to Parks Canada Product Development Officer Elia Marini and participant Stephen Rouleau.

  1. While many people were out celebrating Canada Day, I was at home nearly in tears. Why? Because my city refuses to operate buses on holidays. The only bus running was our equivalent of Toronto’s Wheel trans called para bus, even if you don’t live here can you please spare a moment to help me change this? Thank you
