More than $35,000 Raised by Running for FOP

The 8th Annual 5 kilometre walk or run to promote awareness and raise funds for research towards a cure for Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva took place at the Roberta Bondar pavillion on Saturday morning.
FOP turns children into human statues: a healthy mind locked inside a frozen body. It is an ultra-rare orphan disease which progressively turns muscles and connective tissue to bone, permanently fusing their joints and causing immobility.
This very rare disease affects approximately 3500 people worldwide.
ONNtv cameras were at the event and caught some of action.
