Shooting in Toronto’s Lawrence Heights area marks third of the day


Toronto police say one man is in hospital with serious injuries after a shooting late Monday afternoon, marking the city’s third shooting of the day.

Police say officers were called to the Lawrence Heights neighbourhood to find a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

They say two suspects were last seen running.

Buses in the area have been re-routed.

Earlier Monday, a shooting at a nightclub in North York left seven people injured, while a shooting in the city’s downtown core sent two men to hospital.
