Toronto police say three pedestrians were taken to hospital after they were hit by a car in the downtown core on Saturday afternoon.
They say one person suffered in life-threatening injuries, while two others were expected to survive.
Investigators say a fourth person who was hit didn’t need to go to hospital.
Police say the driver suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, and was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
They say it appears that the car hit the pedestrians before striking a pole.
The incident is still under investigation.
