“Sault College has a large number of eager and reliable students looking to find part-time employment while they complete their studies. We are here to help our students achieve this while also addressing the needs of community employers,” said Ray Corcoran, Student Employment Advisor, Sault College. “The part-time job fair will give employers an opportunity to meet potential employees and will also give our students the chance to explore the part-time employment options available within the City. We encourage any employer interested in participating in the job fair to reach out, so we can further support you and your business,” he added.

Employers who are unable to attend the job fair, but have part-time job opportunities are also encouraged to reach out to Ray. “While the job fair is a great opportunity for employers to highlight job opportunities, the Student Job Centre also provides employment support at any time throughout the year. Our office is a great resource for employers to connect with students whose flexible schedules can help to fill employment gaps,” said Ray.

“The students we meet with on a regular basis are driven to be successful in their studies, but also understand the value of working a part-time job at the same time. Part-time employment teaches valuable skills such as: the ability to work as part of a team, responsibility, strengthened communication and language skills, as well as providing employees with a sense of accomplishment and pride.”
