The City’s Public Works and Engineering Service Department would like to inform residents that with the heavy rainfall, high water levels and strong winds experienced today, the waterfront boardwalk will be closed effective immediately and throughout the weekend. Staff will be monitoring the situation and will reopen the boardwalk once the repair work is completed.
The City of Sault Ste. Marie thanks its citizens for their patience and understanding during this closure. Further updates will be provided as required.
Boardwalk is one of the things I love about The Soo. Been here 10 years, and this summer is the highest water I’ve ever seen. Did they not take erosion into account when they built it to begin with? Will be glad to see it reopened
