With over 10,000 non perishable food items donated in 2018, Maitland Ford Lincoln is kicking off its fifth annual We Scare Hunger.
Teaming up with the Huron Superior Catholic District School Board and Sault College, students will run a number of fundraising activities to help fill the back of Ford F-150’s in donation to various food banks in the Sault.
Mayor Provenzano helped kick off the 2019 campaign as he made his first donation in person this afternoon.
Items in high demand include canned meats, peanut butter, cereal, pasta/sauce, canned fruits and vegetables. Other items such as baby food and personal hygiene products are also accepted.
Maitland Ford Lincoln, located at 1124 Great Northern Road would like to invite the community to drop off non-perishable food items to help fill the “Hunger Wagon” in their showroom.
Residents are also invited to participate in several WE Scare Hunger food drives at
Rome’s Independent Grocers (44 Great Northern Road) on Oct. 17th from 4pm – 8pm
Oct 26th 10am-4pm, GFL Memorial Gardens Greyhound Games
Oct 19th 6pm – 7pm
Oct 20th 1:00pm – 2pm and Pino’s Get Fresh Foods (219 Trunk Rd.)
