Between mid-June and the end of September, Sault College Employment Solutions was busy putting jobs up on its wall as part of the Another 99 Jobs campaign, the goal of which was to place 99 job seekers in employment over a 99-day period. Final results have now been tallied and Employment Solutions is pleased to announce that this target has been both met and surpassed, with a grand total of 138 Employment Solutions clients having found work over the campaign’s duration.

“With Another 99 Jobs, we wanted to build on the momentum of earlier efforts by showcasing employment supports and free services that are available to job seekers,” said Maggie Catterick, Director, Sault College Employment Solutions. “We’re very excited to have exceeded our goal and I’d like to congratulate all of our clients who found work during the campaign. I’d also like to thank the many employers who worked with us to match jobs with job seekers for their continuing support.”

Though the campaign is now closed, free one-on-one job search assistance is available year round for those who need help finding work, changing jobs, or who are looking to move from part-time to full-time employment.

Clients who work with an Employment Solutions Consultant can benefit from services that include job search support, resume and cover letter assistance, interview skills development, connections to employers, work placements and more. Appointments with Employment Consultants are available on a drop-in basis every Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Employment Solutions also works with over 500 employers each year to assist with human resource needs such as job postings, collecting and screening resumes, interview and training space, job fairs, work placements, referrals from a pool of qualified candidates and a variety of incentives and funding to assist with hiring and training costs.
