Kids in the Mall – A Timeless Event

Local children and teenagers were at Station Mall on Saturday to celebrate National Down Syndrome Week November 1st to 7th. They were on hand to answer questions, meet shoppers and personally distribute our newest calendar for 2020.

This year’s calendar theme is “Timeless Photos” Photographs were taken by Emilya Junor Photography.  “We wanted a look that would create positive emotions and feelings and I feel that we achieved that” said Sheena Smith, Sault Ste. Marie Down Syndrome Society President.

Each picture evokes emotions of past memories or brings you to smile and appreciate the uniqueness of each featured individual. Each child and their family chose what they would like to portray through creative, inspiring outfits and timeless settings.

We put out this calendar every to show our appreciation and to thank so many of you for the respect shown, inclusive opportunities and the many positive relationships built throughout our community.

Thank you to everyone that inspires us to grow and develop our own skills and abilities.
