Around 500 people ate a pancake breakfast with Santa at the Station Mall on Sunday morning to support the local Lung Association.
Children also had the opportunity to enjoy crafts, a magician and pictures with Santa and Mrs. Clause.
Lung Association Manager of Community Engagement, Grace Briglio, said this 20+ year event almost always sells out early.
“The kids love it,” she said, “and it gets everybody in the holiday spirit.”
La-Na Fragomeni, a volunteer for the Lung Association and Pancake Breakfast, said she thinks this event is an important way to raise money and awareness for the Lung Association.
“The recognition in the community for the mall itself, for the willingness for people to volunteer, the recognition of the Lung Association – which is huge – they’re one of the smaller charities that are recognized in town.”
All proceeds raised go to the Lung Association in conjunction with the Festival of Trees event.
