Auditions: The Addams Family – The Musical

0

The Musical Comedy Guild welcomes anyone who feels a little kooky, a little spooky, to come sing and dance with us at auditions for “The Addams Family the Musical”.

Director Timothy Murphy is looking for performers who can bring the quirky Addams family to life as they face a new challenge.  Their dark and beloved daughter, Wednesday, is now 18 and has fallen in love with Lucas Beineke – a sweet and kind young gentleman from… Ohio. The two families will meet on our stage!

Our show sees secrets revealed, relationships tested and the Addams family facing the one horrible thing they have managed to avoid for generations: change.   This dark comedy needs to find Granny, Gomez, Morticia, Fester, Wednesday and Pugsley Addams, Lurch, Lucas and Alice Beineke, and a number of ensemble roles.

Auditions for leads will be Wednesday Jan 8 and Thursday Jan 9th – 7 pm, ensemble at 7 pm on Friday 10th and 2 pm on Saturday the 11th.  Call backs will be Saturday, January 11 at 6pm.  All welcome, if you require support of any kind to audition, please just email us at the address below. Auditions will be held at the former St. Ignatius church building, 327 Cathcart St.   Lead roles should come prepared with the song chosen for each role listed at: https://www.facebook.com/events/3869747403042833/

About the Musical Comedy Guild

The Musical Comedy Guild of Sault Ste. Marie is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to producing high-quality musical theatre entertainment for our patrons while providing a training ground and showcase for the artistic and cultural community of the Algoma region. To date, we have produced more than 100 musicals as well as a series of cabaret-style shows. Many of our actors have received honorariums and bursaries to encourage them to pursue careers in theatre, and they have gone on to excel in communities across the province, and around the world. We benefit from the support of our local sponsors and members and the many of our alumnae who have returned to us to instruct in workshops and direct, choreograph and produce our shows.
