Motorcycle driver killed in crash identified as man from Sudbury, Ont.


SUDBURY, Ont. — Provincial police have identified the victim of a fatal crash between a motorcycle and a pickup truck as a 26-year-old man from Sudbury, Ont.

The crash happened Sunday night on Highway 17 near Long Lake Road, where police say the motorcycle crossed the centre line and slammed into the truck.

Both vehicles caught fire.

The motorcycle driver was killed but the driver of the pickup was not hurt.

OPP said Friday the deceased has been identified as Steven Poulin of Sudbury.

  1. I saw somebody riding a black Harley Davidson on Sunday. There was ice on the sides of the road and the temperature was far too cold for motorcycle tires to stay grippy. So sorry to hear of this loss.
