Police trying to identify body found inside damaged pickcup truck near Guelph, Ont.


GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, Ont. — Provincial police in Ontario say they’re trying to identify a body found inside a damaged pickup truck.

They say they were called to the scene in Guelph-Eramosa Township on Monday afternoon in response to reports of a single-vehicle crash.

Police say someone driving by the scene reported seeing the truck in a wooded area, well off the road.

When they arrived, investigators say they found a body inside the damaged vehicle.

Police say they do not know the identity of the body or the cause of the collision, which remains under investigation.

Anyone with information on the crash is encouraged to come forward.
