SARIC, Stipe “Pipa”

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear “Pipa” at the age of 64 with his loving wife, children and nephew by his side.

Loving husband of Ana for 42 years. Most amazing father of Daniela Veltri (John), Sanja Betteridge (Rob), and Ante (Jessica). The most loving Dida in the world to Kaija, Jacob, Taylor, Lily and Gabriel.

His grandchildren meant everything to him. They were all so fortunate to have had so many wonderful memories and experiences with their Dida; he was happiest when surrounded by his family.

Son of the late Ilija and Dana Saric of Bosnia i Hercigovina. Dear brother of Slavica Jazvo (late Jozo), Vinko Saric (Finka), Dragica Vrdoljak (Anto) and Mirko Saric (Gordana). Special nephew of Ante Saric, Tade Saric and Janja Repic of Split, Croatia.

Son-in-law of the late Ivica and Celija Vukadin. Brother-in-law of Josip Vukadin (Borka) and Antonija Badrov (Tomo).  Pipa was a very special uncle to many nieces and nephews and was always there for them.

Pipa was the heart of the Soo Croatia Soccer Club since 1979 and the soccer community has lost a special friend. He was a great player, coach, and fan. Truly loved by anyone associated with Croatia SC. Pipa will be fondly remembered by his many soccer friends he made over the years, especially Barry Fera.

Friends and family are invited to the Delta Hotel Waterfront (Algoma Ballroom) on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. for a Celebration of Pipa’s life. A private family service has been held.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the SAH Cancer Care Fund would be appreciated by the family.

The family would like to thank the nurses at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario, Dr. Wilson and to the nurses at SAH for their professional and compassionate care of Pipa in his final days. A special thank you to David and Megan Culina for your assistance during this difficult time. Words alone cannot express our deepest gratitude.

Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
