FREE Youth Employment Program Now Accepting Participants

The Sault Community Career Centre’s new, FREE, youth employment program is starting up again!  The Choosing My Next M.O.V.E. program, funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation, is now accepting participants for its Monday, January 27th start date.  Did we mention it’s free?!

Choosing My Next M.O.V.E. empowers young people to decide if work is their “next move.”  They’ll explore what choosing work looks like – what they’ll need to consider and do to move towards that choice, and how work aligns with their wants, needs, and values.  Through the program, participants will also identify their strengths and develop skills that will enhance their success with employment.

Program Highlights:

11 group-based in-class sessions.  Monday to Thursday.  Each session is about 3 hrs long
Job and career exploration
Job shadowing sessions
Paid 3 to 6-week long work placement with a local employer to develop and enhance skills through a supportive on-the-job experience (optional)
A personal Job Developer to help participants put their guided employment plan into action
