“HARVEY” will Have You in Stitches

Algoma Repertory Theatre set to stage another wonderful dinner theatre performance!

Looking for a night out full of great food, and lots of laughs? You don’t have to know the classic 1950 Jimmy Stewart movie to appreciate Algoma Repertory Theatre’s production of the Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy “Harvey” by Mary Chase (March 4th – 7th, 2020 at Grand Gardens North).

“Harvey” is the story of a perfect gentleman, Elwood P. Dowd (Marc Beaudette), and his best friend, Harvey, who everyone wants to meet. When Elwood begins introducing others to Harvey – a six-foot tall invisible rabbit – his socially invested and extremely embarrassed sister, Veta Louise (Nuala Kenny), and her daughter, Myrtle Mae (Katelyn Brienesse), want Harvey gone.

They conspire to commit Elwood to a sanitarium but, in a comedy of errors, Veta is committed instead. In the ensuing confusion, Dr. Chumley (James MacGlashan), Dr. Sanderson (Ryan Byrne), Veta, and Elwood all try to figure out who really is crazy— and whether the world needs another “normal” chap, or more Harveys. The phenomenal cast is rounded out with featured performances by Brianna Niro, Steve Ancic, Penny Gribbon, Pirie Kaufman, Tim Bass and Sonya Ostrowski-Masotti.

Tickets are on sale now for what is sure to be a wonderful night out with an incredible 3-course meal, and an evening full of funny. Get them at www.ARTinSSM.com.
When: March 4th – 7th Where: Grand Gardens North – 1324 Great Northern Rd. Ticket prices: Dinner and Show $65 – Show Only $35
