UPDATED: Planned power outage for areas north of Sault

Algoma Power Planned Power Outage

January 8, 2020 @ 11:24 a.m. – New start time and shorter duration of planned electrical service interruption. Algoma Power has had to reschedule the planned power outage needed to facilitate repairs inside the Goulais Substation between the hours of 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 


January 8, 2020 @ 8:50 a.m. – Algoma Power would like to advise customers that the planned power interruption originally scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m. today will be delayed until 10:00 a.m. and is expected to last until 3:00 p.m.

Algoma Power requires an electrical service interruption for all customers fed from the Goulais Substation including Heyden, Searchmont, Havilland Shores Drive, Four Seasons Drive, Bluewater and Goulais to facilitate necessary repairs inside the Goulais Substation.

Algoma Power regrets any inconvenience this may cause for our customers.

Please be advised, Algoma Power requires an electrical service interruption for all customers fed from the Goulais Substation including Heyden, Searchmont, Havilland Shores Drive, Four Seasons Drive, Bluewater and Goulais.

Wednesday January 8, 2020 between the hours of 9:00am and 2:00 pm with no alternate date.

This interruption is required for necessary repairs inside the Goulais Substation.

For safety reasons please do not perform any work in conjunction with this outage.  All customer work requires direct planning through Algoma Power’s Customer Service Department.

While outage work is performed as effectively and efficiently as possible, circumstances may arise that shorten or extend these events (such as equipment failure, inclement weather, scope of work, etc).

Algoma Power regrets any inconvenience this may cause for our customers.
