Four Arrested in Possession of a Firearm

On February 27, 2020 officers with Patrol Services arrested 25-year-old Kwesi Armoo, 25-year-old Jason Ramessar, 21-year-old Javonte Reid and 20-year-old Handel Hippolyte, all of Toronto, for unauthorized possession of a firearm.

At 1:00 a.m. on February 27, 2020 officers observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Wallace Terrace. A traffic stop was conducted and officers noticed open alcohol in the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle was conducted and officers found a loaded 9mm handgun and a small quantity of what is believed to be cocaine and seven Adderall pills.

All four of the occupants were arrested.

Mr. Armoo is charged with two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose,
one count of carrying a concealed weapon, one count of careless use of a firearm, one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm, one count of possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, one count of possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition and one count of possession of a weapon obtained by crime.

Mr. Ramessar is charged with two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous
purpose, one count of carrying a concealed weapon, one count of careless use of a firearm, one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm, one count of possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, one count of possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition, one count of possession of a weapon obtained by crime and one count of driving while under suspension.

Mr. Reid is charged with two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, two
counts of possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, one count of carrying a concealed weapon, one count of careless use of a firearm, one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm, one count of possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, one count of possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition, one count of possession of a weapon obtained by crime, two counts of breach of probation and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

Mr. Hippolyte is charged with two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous
purpose, one count of carrying a concealed weapon, one count of careless use of a firearm, one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm, one count of possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, one count of unauthorize possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, one count of possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition, one count of possession of a weapon obtained by crime,one count of possession of a controlled substance and five counts of breach of recognizance.

They were held for bail court.

  1. Glad to see the scum removed from our streets, but the government must realize that, cracking down on gun laws only affects the LEGAL gun owners!
