In accordance with new COVID-19 measures announced Friday by the Ontario government, Canadian Tire Corporation will limit its 203 Canadian Tire stores in the province to serving customers only through Curbside Pick Up or eCommerce home delivery. This will be effective from close of business on Saturday, April 4, for a minimum of 14 days. Canadian Tire Auto Service Centres and Gas+ locations in Ontario will continue to operate.
“We are committed to doing our part to help stop the spread of COVID-19. While Ontarians will not be permitted to shop in store, our customers will still be able to access many of the essential products they need online and can choose either Ship to Home or our newly launched Curbside Pick Up,” said Greg Hicks, President and CEO, Canadian Tire Corporation.
Well that’s about time!!!
the only good Canadian store left in the the soo ,
Doing a great job of controlling this nightmare.
I hope they figure out how to run the garden centres. A lot of people grow veggies.
Oh well I’ll have to enjoy garage sales till this is over
Keep repeating this post it’s fascinating
Instead of closing stores, why not enforce the rules? Those of us following the rules are being penalized by the few that don’t!
Walmart should do this to. To many idiot customers not doing social distanc
Chris Pyne I found Walmart very good for social distancing..and there are a lot more necessities that you need in Walmart as opposed to C.T
Donna Elliott yeah in line outside not when shopping.
Funny how people are excited at stores closing. The ones that made the rule look at Ontario as Toronto and everything 1hr away. Sault doesn’t even exist to them.
About time. !!! Though it is also up to ppl to do the distancing.
Roni Dunne the more stores close, the worse others will be, longer lines, more people going to the only stores open, less products,
good luck trying to buy anyting, website just spins
Finally!!!!
Mary Lou Kairiss agree
If Canadian Tire had implemented social distancing. This might not of happened. The safety of their staff and customers needed yo be addressed. Many people home garden, that is part of their grocery budget. So can understand trying to keep them open. Safety was ignored.
Janice Skagen Absolutely agree
Janice Skagen when I went there, no gloves for cashiers, no sanitizer for people who come in, people huddled together.
no one controlling the entrance where people were also lined up to pay…it was total chaos….turned around and left! Terrible.
if people followed the rules and stayed home maybe this wouldn’t have happened 😂
Kat Marie Individual people have responsibility too…..you are very right.
Finally!
Finally
About time. Took way to long
Queenb Turcotte every store you close, will put a street on others forcing more long line ups and little products
