Eacom to Donate KN95 Masks to Front-Line Healthcare Workers of Northern Ontario

Sault-Ste-Marie, April 29, 2020 – EACOM Timber Corporation is pleased to donate more than half of its KN95 mask supply to health organisations in Northern Ontario to alleviate pressures on medical supplies. The town of Sault-Sainte-Marie will therefore receive 400 masks which will be given to Sault Area Hospital.

“We recognize that global and local supply chains have been challenged during the COVID-19 crisis and that the medical and first responder communities are facing shortages. It is our privilege to share what supplies we can all the while ensuring that our employees are properly protected,” EACOM President and CEO Kevin Edgson. “We operate in tightly knit communities who have always come together to support each other in times of need, and this is no different”.

EACOM will continue to evaluate its inventory relative to operational needs, to identify future opportunities and to collaborate with local healthcare organizations. Safety comes first, second, and third at EACOM and numerous measures have been put in place across all sites of operation to ensure adequate hygiene and social distancing to protect employees as they continue to produce essential goods.
