Superior Media realizes that many of our fellow local businesses are struggling to find creative ways to keep revenues flowing during these difficult and uncertain times. The current COVID-19 pandemic has found us all stepping up do our part towards flattening the curve, from store closures to enforced physical distancing. Strong measures which we all hope will get us past this threat in the shortest amount of time while positioning us for the quickest recovery possible.
Keeping this in mind, we also realize that there is no time more important than this for us all to step up and support our local businesses, the backbone of our Community and economy. A couple weeks ago, the Superior Media team launched the #InThisTogetherSSM initiative in partnership with the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce. Since then we have turned the spotlight on many of the creative ways businesses are working hard to ensure everyone has access to the products and services we’ve come to rely upon from day to day. The video segments have been published on SaultOnline.com and aired on our new local streaming television station ONNtv.
Superior Media’s focus has always been, and will continue to be, COMMUNITY and the importance of providing open platforms that encourage team work and partnerships across all sectors of the Algoma district. In an effort to further assist our local businesses, we have recently teamed up with the very talented team at Kapptive Studios to construct and launch the new Algoma Marketplace!
In an impressive few short weeks, both teams have worked feverishly to conceptualize and build a brand new platform where local businesses can establish an online storefront presence in addition to traditional brick and mortar locations. The Algoma Marketplace is a hyper-local version of platforms like Amazon, but with a defined focus on shopping and supporting our local businesses. Many vendors are offering both curbside pickup, as well as delivery options specifically tailored to ensure minimal physical contact.
The Algoma Marketplace was designed to accommodate a wide range of vendor applications such as retail, food, services and church bazaars and can be further customized to meet just about any needs.
