Three Charged and One on the Run after Police find $10,000 in Narcotics

On Sunday, April 26th, police checked two vehicles parked in an empty commercial parking lot in the 600 Block of Trunk Road. Narcotics valued at more than $10,000 were found when police checked the two vehicles parked with trunks of both automobiles open.

One of the two vehicles quickly fled the scene.

Several clear bags containing what appeared to be crack cocaine were located and on the ground by the remaining vehicle. Cocaine, crack cocaine and $480 in Canadian cash were allegedly found in the automobile. Street value of the drugs is an estimated $12,900.

“Details on the second vehicle are not being released at this time as they are part of an ongoing investigation,” said Sault Ste. Marie Police Service spokesperson Lincoln Louttit in an email to The Sault Star.

Tracy Deruiter, 48, Christopher Gallucci, 41, and Sarah Willie, 35, all of Thunder Bay, were charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

Their court date is July 6.
