The City of Sault Ste. Marie remains committed to protecting the health and safety of the community. In the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, the City set up a community hotline for residents to find programs and services aimed at helping those impacted. Due to a significant reduction in calls, beginning this week, the hotline will be adjusting its operating hours to Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
“The health and safety of residents is our priority, and we will continue to provide support to those that need it. As neighbours, family members, residents and friends, we must all do our part as one city to support each another during this time and into the future,” said Malcolm White, CAO, City of Sault Ste. Marie.
The hotline provides a staffed community support line that:
- Provides information and referrals to accurate information sources
- Provides referrals to service providers who can meet a request
- Provides services for cases that cannot be assisted through other methods.
The number to call is 705-574-1220 or email [email protected].
