OPP charge Sault Driver

On April 29, 2020 at approximately 3:00 p.m. members from the Sault Ste. Marie Highway Safety Division (HSD) and Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) were on general patrol on Great Northern Road in the city of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

Officers observed a northbound vehicle matching the description of a vehicle involved in a prior incident within the city of Sault Ste. Marie.

The officers turned their police unit northbound in order to conduct a traffic stop.

Officers observed the vehicle pull into a parking lot and noticed the driver exit the vehicle and start to walk away on foot.

Officers spoke with the driver and as a result of further investigation, Adrian Mccurvin, 35 years-old from York, Ontario was charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with recognizance, contrary to section 145(3) of the Criminal Code (CC).

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on June 1st, 2020 located at 426 Queen Street, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
