Man Charged with Uttering Threats
On May 11, 2020 officers with Investigation Services arrested 55-year-old Frank Caicco for uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm.
While in custody at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre (ATRC) on May 8, 2020, it is alleged the accused threatened public safety; telling staff members, when he is released he will get a gun and shoot multiple people. He referenced the recent tragedy in Nova Scotia.
Police were notified and officers attended the ATRC and arrested the accused. He is charged with uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm. He was held for bail court.
Man Charged with Breach of Probation
On May 11, 2020 officers with Investigation Services and Patrol Services arrested 35-year-old Dylan Jocko for breach of probation.
On May 7, 2020 officers were conducting a compliance check on the accused. He was not at the approved residence at that time, contrary to his release conditions of remaining in an approved residence between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
He was located on May 11, 2020 and arrested. He is charged with five counts of breach of probation. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 27, 2020.
Man Charged with Impaired Driving
On May 11, 2020 officers with Patrol Services arrested 29-year-old Kyle Shultz of Grand Rapids, Michigan for impaired driving.
At 7:00 p.m. officers were called to the Canadian Border and Security Agency building at 125 Huron Street regarding an impaired driver.
It is alleged the accused drove his vehicle into an inspection lane, declared he had marijuana on him and asked the border security officer if he could buy marijuana from them. Upon arrival Sault Police officers took the accused into custody and transported him to the Police Services Building. The accused was given a Drug Recognition Evaluation and he performed poorly.
He is charged with impaired driving alcohol and drugs. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 6, 2020.
