32-year-old man charged with using counterfeit money

On June 3, 2020 officer with Patrol Services arrested 32-year-old Justin McKay for using counterfeit money.

It is alleged on February 2, 2020 the accused attended a business in the 300 block of John Street and used a counterfeit $20 Canadian bill to pay for his purchase.

He was located on June 3, 2020 and arrested. He is charged with using counterfeit money, possession of counterfeit money and breach of probation. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 17, 2020.


  1. What i dont get is if youve been handed a fake bill and dont know you still get arrested. I almost got arrested in 2008 for going to the bank teller to deposit money and i had a false 5$ on me i didnt know about. I worked paper routes so i got cash from all sorts. Another incidence was the chinese food place in the cambrian mall. They were handing out fake 10$ as change, the lady said the money was real but the td in there checked and took it and said it is fake.
