Significant rainfall continuing today and tonight.
On the bright side, you won’t have to water your garden for a few days. A prolonged period of persistent rain showers will last at least 24 hours before a slow moving low pressure system and cold front clears the area. For now, light to moderate rain showers with a possibility of thundershowers will leave behind some pretty soggy conditions.
Rain will continue through the day today and into tonight before easing to light rain Wednesday morning. Rain will linger Wednesday and into Thursday giving additional, although lesser amounts.
Additional rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm over most areas are expected by Wednesday morning, although local amounts exceeding 50 mm are possible.
Environment and Climate Change Canada continues to monitor the situation. Rainfall warnings may be issued as necessary. Rainfall warnings are issued when rainfall amounts of 50 mm or more are expected in 24 hours.
