ONNtv News Anchor Lou-Anne Young Set To Retire


Lou-Anne Young has been delivering news and local information to thousands over her career that started in radio in the 1980’s.  Young moved to television (MCTV) in Sault Ste. Marie in the 1990’s where she became one of the most popular news anchors in the city.

Young signed onto ONNtv in May 2018 to finish off her career in media. June 2020 marks her official semi-retirement and ONNtv will salute her successful years in the news media on the Friday June 19th edition of “Special Report” at 8 AM and 1 PM ONNtv.

Lou-Anne will be joined by many of her friends over the years and will also be joined by Tim Murphy who co-hosted “Mornings with Lou-Anne and Tim”  from May 2018 – March 2020.

Young left her role in mid-March as lead anchor at ONNtv due to the COVID-19 pandemic but will return to ONNtv this Friday with Special Report hosts, Colette Linden, Chris Oldcorn and Danielle Dupuis.
