Reopening of Catholic Churches in the Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie

Following Premier Doug Ford’s announcement on June 8, allowing places of worship to resume their religious services, Marcel Damphousse, Bishop of Sault Ste. Marie is happy to announce that all the Catholic Parishes of the Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie will reopen their churches and resume Eucharistic celebrations as of June 20-21. Churches are currently ensuring all measures have been taken to ensure the safety of parishioners.

Anyone wishing to attend Mass is being instructed to first communicate with their parish in order to receive the necessary instruction as to precautions to be taken and number of available places to ensure adequate physical distancing.
