(HEYDEN, ON) -On June 01, 2020, members of the Sault Ste Marie Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit and the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) responded to a threats complaint in Heyden.
As a result of the investigation, on June 2, 2020, the accused was arrested by OPP at their residence.
John WIGLE, 59 years-old, of Heyden was arrested and is charged with:
Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm, contrary to section 264.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC)
Criminal Harassment – Threatening Conduct, contrary to section 264(2)(d) of the Criminal Code (CC)
Mischief – Destroys or Damages Property under $5000.00, contrary to section 430(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC)
The accused is being is being held for bail court.
