Crime Stoppers and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service are seeking your assistance in identifying suspects involved in over 70 vehicle break-ins reported since May 1, 2020.
The suspects have been targeting unlocked vehicles. These incidents typically occur during the overnight hours and are not reported until the next morning when the owner recognized property missing or out of place.
Sault Police Services want to remind residents to be vigilant in securing their property, homes and vehicles. Vehicle break-ins are considered a crime of opportunity, don’t give thieves the opportunity. Lock your doors.
In order to better protect your property, it is recommended you keep your doors locked, do not leave valuables in plain view, park your vehicle in a well-lit area and consider some form of security system. Following these tips can improve the level of security of your home and property.
If you have information on the rash of break and enters occurring in our city and wish to remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers at (705) 942-7867 or 1-800-222-8477. You can also click the “Submit a Tip” button found on our website www.saultcrimestoppers.com or download the P3 app.
