On July 24, 2020 officers with Patrol Services arrested 22-year-old Joseph MacLean for impaired driving.
At 12:05 a.m. officers responded to a call of a vehicle stuck in the ditch on Airport Road. Officers observed a man running near the area and he was later identified as the accused. Upon speaking with the accused, officers learned he was driving the vehicle and he was going home as it was stuck with the keys in the ignition. During the conversation officers developed grounds to believe the accused’s ability to operate the vehicle was impaired by alcohol.
The accused was arrested and later provided a breath sample into an approved device, registering a failed result. He is charged with impaired driving alcohol and drugs and blood alcohol concentration (80 plus). He is scheduled to appear in court on September 21, 2020.
