The Brickspace partners with city museum to create custom set

SAULT STE. MARIE: As times are tough one local entrepreneur is turning his love for Lego and bricks into a lifestyle he hopes to share with the community. The Brickspace, owned and operated by Derek Pearce offers Sault Ste. Marie custom building block sets of historical landmarks in the community. Recently partnering with the Sault Ste. Marie Museum and Playwell, The Brick Space’s partnership comes with the announcement of the first custom building block set designed for the Sault Ste. Marie Museum. No set date for when the set will be available but the museum is taking pre-orders. Anyone interested is asked to contact the museum at 705-759-7278.

Pearce has the vision of opening up a shop as an exhibition space to exhibit models and displays for the community. With hopes to also host birthday parties and miscellaneous events throughout the year.

“If the community wants to see something like this in Sault Ste. Marie and wants to bring our story here.  We are going to launch a crowdfunding campaign to crowdfund the opening. If they want something like this is in the community support the crowdfunding campaign and when we open we’re going to try our best to be out and about in the community and support the community in the future.”
