On July 22, 2020 officers with Patrol Services arrested 21-year-old Patience MacKinnon on outstanding warrants.
It’s alleged on June 19, 2020 the accused attended a business in the 0-100 block of Trunk Road placed a jacket into a bag she was carrying and attempted to leave without paying. She was confronted by store staff and at this time she brandished a knife and fled the area.
On July 22, 2020 police received a call of a woman looking in car windows in the area of Pine Street. Officers responded to the area at 9:33 p.m. and located the accused at the intersection of Coulson Avenue and Queen Street East. Upon speaking with the accused officers discovered she was wanted.
She was arrested on the strength of the warrant. While in custody the accused struck an officer. She is charged with robbery with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, six counts of breach of probation, three counts of theft under $5,000, assaulting a peace officer and assault with a weapon. She was held for bail court.
